This photo was taken this weekend while watching NFL Football at a sports bar in New York City. The person in the picture was using an iPad to keep tabs on their Fantasy Football team, was using their phone to text updates to friends, and was watching several football games at once on the bar’s TV screens. I’ve been suggesting to people for awhile that multiple devices is 1) the future and 2) way easier to deal with than you think.  Mostly that thought has come out of the using dedicated devices to enhance productivity in certain workflows.  For the easiest example, think keeping a calculator on your desk vs. the calculator app on your computer.  One will create small but noticeable disruptions to your flow, and one gives you an answer before you lose your train of thought.  I like this especially because the multi-tasking ability of sms on virtually any phone (in this case the iphone) becomes a great communication medium while using another device (like the ipad) to do research on things that are happening in real time (sports on tv).  Nice work!
