difference between bloggers & journalists:

bloggers do many different things, in many different fields, and attempt journalism mostly as amateurs.

journalists do…  journalism (not sure what the correct word is for that because I don’t do journalism or english).  many will, essentially, try to understand many different things from many different fields and attempt to convert it to journalism.

i don’t have much of a problem with that, it makes total sense.  but then when a debate about the difference between journalists and bloggers focuses on quality of research and objectivity, i gotta at least think about it.  i’ve read plenty of poorly written articles that communicated many things to me, and i’ve read plenty of well written articles that haven’t said anything (i remember one where a journalist was talking about getting a new bluetooth.  you know, the things that go in your ear for your phone.  (they’re not called bluetooths)).

“debates” tend to get polarized, and then broken down, and then re-polarized across different issues as new debates, but i wanted to say bloggers rule.  i’ll skip my comments on journalists, hehe.
